i’m going to start writing very soon my new story: a crime fiction featuring a lesbian private detective, set in the 50s in an Americanised world (not really completely accurately the USA in the fifties, i want mostly the aesthetics of it)

One of the characters, who is going to be my protagonist’s lover, is Chinese but i really need to do some researches on the american chinese community in the 50s. I don’t want to make too very obvious mistakes or rely on offensive stereotypes.
