#i think this is the first time margaret actually admits to all the terrible things hans did #when eli first confronts her in the hospital she’s silent #when nucky brought him up during their big fight in 1.11 she slaps him #over the course of the series she’s come to grips with the full effect of his abuse #and how it’s torn her and her children up #and it’s the foundation to why she’s still with nucky #yes he fools around on her and she knows it #he drinks and he’s not afraid to hide it #but he doesn’t put his hands on her or her children and for her that’s enough #because she’s had enough scars for a lifetime #and she wants her children to have a vastly happier childhood than she did or what hans could have offered
